DJ Spinall and Shody’s Floor-Thumping Performance That Tore Through Benin

“It’s a lieeeeeee”, a young student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin, Edo State, screeched as multiple award-winning DJ and music producer, Sodamola Oluseye “DJ Spinall” Desmond, and the Turn Up King , Kunle “Shody” Oshodi-Glover, stepped into the Hall 2 carpark on Thursday, October 31, 2019 for the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion.

Ainuoluwa Mercy, (middle) flanked by the Pulse team, Shody and DJ Spinall

Ainuoluwa Mercy, a UNIBEN student had shyly stepped into the venue with Spinall and Shodi a few minutes earlier. The student had a permanent grin across her face as she struggled to contain her excitement. She was the winner of the Pulse social media trivia game which guaranteed that she would meet the ‘Dis Love’ star. She had just been chauffeur-driven from her hostel, with both stars flanking her in the back seat as they chatted non-stop.

A day before his arrival, DJ Spinall had released a video on his official Instagram page, sharing why he would be giving a must-watch performance. He added that ten lucky winners would also be surprised. This was after a series of teasers as to the identity of the celebrity that would visit the school. A perfect prelude for the adrenaline-seeking, fun-loving university students.

UNIBEN students screaming with joy at the Pulse celebrity visit

Twenty minutes after their arrival, nearly a thousand sweaty students twisted and turned in ecstasy as the beats from Spinall and the encouragement from Shodi tore through the speakers. Within an hour, hundreds of exhilarated voices nearly drowned out the mega speakers at the venue. The show was in full swing and there was no one who had the time to be courteous about the sound or noise!

After a thumping performance that left many a student with no voices, the young attendees craned their necks to watch their main attractions leave to spend a day with ten of their lucky colleagues.

It was a great way to end what had been a thoroughly rollicking performance from the stars.

The stars visited the school as part of the week-long MTN Pulse Invasion series, which was the first for the year. It began with exciting activities at the Sales Village in the same venue on Monday, October 28. Renowned photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi; life strategist and business coach, Steve Harris and mental health awareness advocate and graphologist, Oladipupo Macjob, thrilled the students with talks on life and success at the highly anticipated Pulse Talk Series on Wednesday.

David Adefeso and Tamar Braxton leave followers wondering if it's over between them as he shares cryptic IG post

David Adefeso took to Instagram to write a cryptic post about closing one door in order to have another open for you and it had his followers wondering if all is well between him and Tamar, especially because, only one day ago, Tamar Braxton shared a post talking about a man who lays with you for days but doesn't touch you (read here).

In David's post, he spoke about a storefront that looks dazzling but "the insides have been so beaten up and abused over the decades by bad tenants that no amount of tender loving care is capable of bringing it back to life."

He added that at this point, "one needs to find the strength to pick up and go open up a new store no matter how much love and hope has been invested in this one."

He added in the caption: "Sometimes you have to close one door in order to have another one open up for you!"

Tamar replied to the post, writing: "I know that right!! Periodt"

This led to speculations that trouble might be brewing in their relationship, especially coming after Tamar's initial post.

But Tamar seems to have shut the speculations down by sharing a video of David and her son bonding in a car while singing along to the song playing.

Watch the video below.

What I ordered VS what I got: BBNaija's Ike and Mercy compared comically to Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner

Who did this to Mercy and Ike of Big Brother Naija? lol

The former BBNaija housemates recently did a cover shoot recreating a photo Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner took for GQ magazine.

Nigerians had a lot to say about the photo, including veteran actress Ms Joke Silva (read here).

Now, someone has brought together photos of Stormi Webster's parents and the BBNaija lovebirds; with Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner as the original (what I ordered) vs Ike and Mercy as the copy (what I got).

Which do you prefer, the original or the copy?

''I regret ever responding to your silly rant'' Rahma Indimi fires back at Reno Omokri

Rahma Indimi, one of the daughters of billionaire businessman, Mohammed Indimi, has replied Reno Omokri after he slammed their family on his Instagram page yesterday November 11th.

Reno called the Indimi family and other wealthy Northern families out after billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, donated N5 billion to the Save the Children Foundation, for the upkeep of impoverished children in three Northern states, Katsina, Adamawa and Borno. Read previous posts here, here and here.

Responding to Reno's last attack on their family, Rahma shared a screeshot of a UN invitation letter sent to them and wrote;

Dear @renoomokri I regret ever responding to your silly rant. Nope, we have nothing to prove to you and nope we will not stoop to your level again. As you can see we are busy doing what we need to do and I’m extremely satisfied that the international community has seen our efforts and being rewarded for it is all I can ask The Almighty Allah for. Alhamdullilah. I never should have responded, my response is Allah ya isa Duniya da lahira. That is more than enough. In the mean time, we will do as much as we can and will do it quietly in Sha Allah .

Igbo businessman, Osondu Nwachukwu killed by his abductors despite receiving a ransom for his release in Nasarawa State

A businessman identified as Osondu Nwachukwu, has been killed by his abductors despite receiving a ransom for his release in Nasarawa State.

Nwachukwu’s family in an interview called for more government action at the state and federal levels in tackling the security challenges bedevilling the country. Nwachukwu, aged 55, resided in Nasarawa for over 30 years and was a sachet water seller who used his apartment for residential purpose and production point.

His pastor, Reverend Father Joshua Obile, described him as a peace-loving man whose major concern was to provide for his family. The clergyman said, “He doesn’t like trouble with anyone, you hardly see him exchanging words with people.

“He was a lover of peace, even in his house when I come around to visit them, you will always see him up and doing. He is a man who is committed, diligent, and obedient.”

Nwachukwu was seized from his residence on October 30 by suspected robbers who dispossessed him of cash, valuables, and documents of his house. After several days in captivity, a ransom of N20 million was demanded and after several pleas, it was reduced to N10 million and further down to N40,000, which was paid. However, he didn’t come back

Nigerian lady denies the existence of 'magun', says it is 'penis captivus'

A Nigerian Twitter user has denied the existence of magun, a popular charm among the Yoruba people commonly used to curb infidelity.

The US-based Nigerian lady who debunked the potency of the charm which reportedly leaves sexual partners stuck to each other, said it "occurs during sexual intercourse when the muscles in the vagina clamp down on the penis much more firmly than usual, making it impossible for the penis to be withdrawn from the vagina."

@Nnadede_1 tweeted;

Magun which literally means "do not climb" is usually laid without consent and/or trickily. A broomstick or thread can be placed on a doorstep or walkway for the woman to cross over. The charm reportedly leaves the woman and her lover stuck like glue while having sex. The man cannot detach himself from the woman no matter how hard he tries, and this sometimes leads to death and in some cases a public humiliation of the stuck couple.

American music executive and creator of BET series Tales, Irving Domingo Lorenzo a.k.a Irv Gotti seems to be taking the baton from T.I after disclosing that he pulled a gun on his daughter's boyfriend during their talk about sex.

Gotti's comments were in response to T.I.'s recent admission of accompanying his daughter to the gynecologist to check her virginity.

The music executive who claimed to have a great relationship with his daughter's boyfriend, said he pulled the gun jokingly during their talk.

"It was funny because I pulled a gun out on him," Gotti said. "But I was only joking!.. I have a great relationship with her boyfriend."

He further revealed that he created a two-way dialogue that is filled with honesty when having "the talk" with his daughter, Angie.

"I keep it real with my kids. I don't lie to my kids. So I told her 'sex feels good,'" Gotti said. "But I was like 'Yo, just make sure it's respectful...' and I told her boyfriend 'Just always be respectful.'"

Photo of the three health workers arrested for indiscriminate dumping of medical waste in River State

Three health workers have been arrested by the Monitoring Team of the Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Felix Obuah, over indiscriminate dumping of clinical wastes by the roadside at the Akpajo Roundabout off Oil Mill Junction in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

In a press statement signed by Jerry Needam, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Bro. Felix Obuah, Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) and made available to journalists in Port Harcourt on Monday, Obuah said the health workers were caught dumping some clinical wastes which include syringes, placenta amongst others on the road side.

He said the culprits who worked for a private clinic in the area, identified as Fruitful Maternity and Clinic, were caught in the act and promptly arrested, and handed over to the Police attached to RIWAMA Police for interrogation and prosecution.

The Sole Administrator said investigations by his team revealed that so many clinics, hospitals and health centers in Port Harcourt are culpable in this practice and warned that the Agency is on their trail with a view to bringing them to book.

The RIWAMA boss, while also condemning some traditional delivery homes, who engaged in the unwholesome practice, warned that the Agency would not spare any defaulter caught in the act. He regretted that aside the indiscriminate dumping of clinical wastes, these health workers also dump refuse outside the Agency’s approved dumping hours of 6 pm to 12 midnight.

Maina is kept in an uncomfortable, dilapidated cell in Kuje prison - Family cries out

The family of Abdul-Rasheed Maina, former Chairman of Pension Reform Task Team, has decried the conditions of Kuje prison where he is remanded.

Maina is facing a 12-count charge of money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud. On Thursday, he appeared in court in a Wheelchair, forcing the judge to adjourn the trial while the correctional facility ascertains his health condition.

Reacting to this, the family in a statement claimed Maina wlhas been on life support and medication in the past 15 years. The statement read:

“Our attention has been drawn to news headline published online… insinuating falsehood concerning the health and trial of the former pensions funds chief, Abdulrasheed Maina.

“Contrary to the report, we wish to clarify some allegations made by the news outlet concerning his health situation and the ongoing trial. It is absolutely not true that Maina is receiving any presidential treatment in Kuje prison, where he is being detained. He is placed under the usual prison conditions in an uncomfortable cell that is dilapidated.

“It is also a figment of the imagination of those who concocted the lies that Maina is receiving visitors at will. It is, in fact, a more difficult task than the usual prison processes of visiting detained persons, to gain access or be allowed to visit Maina in detention. Several family members and friends have made efforts to see him but all to no avail.

“It is indeed embarrassing to the assistant comptroller of Kuje Prison to have been falsely accused of receiving cash bribes to delay or stop presenting Maina before the court with the sole intention to hinder justice when the need arises, as feigned by the online news medium. How and where would Maina, who is not allowed visitors, get the cash to bribe any official? …To every right-thinking mind, it is a blatant lie.

“Maina was on life support, medication for over 15 years; you can confirm this from his medical records. Maina had survived on control drugs treatment for many years and his condition got deteriorated due to lack of access to his prescribed medications while in detention, a hereditary health condition also being faced by his son Faisal AbdurRasheed. He also suffers severe backache due to the ill-condition of his place of detention.”

“Recently, Maina spent three days in the prison hospital and is seriously indisposed to stand trial in that condition. The court acted rightly based on medical reports presented to it for which it moved the case further to allow him to resuscitate.

“We wish to disabuse the mind of the general public that Maina, who is surviving on support from friends and relatives since he left his position, has any money to the extent of using it to compromise witnesses through bribery. This is also an insult on the presumed witnesses to be presented before the court by his accusers.

“It shows a sense of desperation on their side. In as much as it would not be ideal to accuse his detention of being purposely done to give room to present fake witnesses to the court, it is also wrong to claim that if he is released on bail, he would bribe the witnesses. Are they paid by his accusers to stand against him?

“We wish to remind the general public that Maina is only a victim of circumstance. He was in a position where a lot of people thought they could exploit and loot pension funds, which he disallowed. He is today paying the price for protecting the pension funds from looters and extorting funds termites. We, therefore, call for justice not only be done but be seen to have been done.”

Enhle Mbali confirms she is divorcing DJ Black Coffee after allegedly being cheated on several times and being abused by her mother-in-law

Enhle Mbali in a video she shared on Instagram confirmed she is divorcing her husband, DJ Black Coffee.

Wife of the South African successful entertainer confirmed cracks in their marriage after Sunday World reported that she has filed for divorce alongside a protection order against Black Coffee's mother and sister.

In the video she shared, Enhle asked for space to deal with the issues surrounding her marital crisis as she revealed that she has been approached by several journalists on the state of her relationship with Black Coffee. She also said she always strived to be a supportive wife and partner.

“It has a been a long couple of years for me. In all that, all I ask for is silence. Not for me or for anyone else, but for my children. Everything I have done till this day is to protect my children

“It has been a very, very, very rough year, but I still stand tall and proud. It is indeed a situation that no-one wants to see themselves in, but here we are,” she said.

“I stand today and fight,” she added.

In her court application, Enhle Mbali alleged that Black Coffee’s mother Faith Ndadala arrived at her matrimonial home on September 27 to bully and verbally attack her. She further added that she was subjected to a plethora of insults by her mother-in-law who told her that she has no claim on the property as she and Black Coffee were not married in community of property.

“I’m going through a divorce and suffer from depression and their act will trigger me. I’m doing well with both psychologist and psychiatrist,” she said.

Enhle asked the court to prohibit Nomalanga from committing any act of domestic violence against her or not to get another person to commit any act of domestic violence against her. She also asked the court to bar Nomalanga from entering the property.

“I feel unsafe as the threats of violence still have me on the edge.”

A source told Sunday World that Black Coffee also verbally, physically and emotionally abuse Enhle and he’s the main cause of her depression. It was gathered that Black Coffee has been a womaniser since day one but Enhle thought he would change.
